Covid-19 and Our Library

Mar. 17, 2020

As of today, the High Level Municipal Library will be closed until further notice. The closure is in response to the Covid-19 outbreak. We are unsure as to when we will reopen but we will be keeping the public up to date via social media and our website.

Any items that you wish to return may be placed in the library book drop outside the front doors. Staff will be working throughout this week to safely check in returned library materials.

If you are feeling sick, please do not return items through the book drop. Call the library instead (780-926-2097) and staff will renew your items or extend your borrowing period as necessary.

For the time being, the library will be offering curb side pickup of materials for those who need to collect holds. Staff may also be able to select local items from our shelves for pickup if time allows. To access this curb side service, please call the library or text 780-841-6542. We are offering pick up Monday to Friday from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M., Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. and Saturdays from 12 P.M. to 2 P.M. PLEASE CALL AHEAD.

If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to send us a Facebook message or call the library. Staff will attempt to respond to all messages within a reasonable time frame.

We hope to be able to resume regular library services shortly. In the meantime, the library and its staff will be following all relevant recommendations laid out by the provincial and federal governments regarding Covid-19, and we would urge our patrons to do the same.

Thank you for your understanding.
